Barbados’ Stunning New Spa Open for Business
First Class Spa and Fine Dining Restaurant Opened at Port Ferdinand in Barbados
Barbados’ brightest new luxury resort, Port Ferdinand Marina and Luxury Residences near Speightstown, Barbados, has opened its brand new spa and fine dining restaurant, adding to the fantastic range of amenities and services it offers. Both the spa and restaurant are open to non residents.
Port Ferdinand, from luxury resort brand UNNA, is an exclusive collection of 46 luxury homes for purchase or rental, each with its own yacht berth, combined with rich amenities and legendary Bajan service. Luxury home rentals start at US$950 (£624*) per home per night from now until 14th December 2015.
Sandbox Tree Spa
The Sandbox Tree spa offers a range of signature treatments and retreat packages, using the highly prestigious and renowned Bamford Body Line botanical range. The spa is named after a distinctive tree that is indigenous to Barbados, one of which can be found right next to the spa, which is located in a corner of the lush natural gully that cocoons the marina. The design of the spa has been inspired by the beautiful surroundings of Port Ferdinand. It includes a manicure and pedicure room overlooking the tropical gully, treatment rooms with outdoor steam showers and a private garden. There are also two indoor treatment rooms and treatments can be carried out within the gully, in the comfort of the resort homes, or in a unique private seaside cabana.
The new spa provides luxurious treatments to nourish and replenish mind, body and soul through the best in ayurvedic and holistic methods, using highly skilled Bamford-trained therapists. Bamford collection, renowned for its commitment to nature, purity and authentic luxury, forms the basis of the range of beauty, massage and therapeutic treatments offered at the spa, which are inspired by a range of traditions including shiatsu, meridian massage, Swedish massage, reflexology, abdominal massage, Indian head massage, and yogic breathing.
The Sandbox Tree Spa also offers Spa Retreat Packages combining several popular treatments, for example a four hour Love Retreat includes a Bamford Signature Treatment, a Food Detox and a De-Stress Head Massage. One to three day wellness packages can also be tailored to guests’ particular needs, following a consultation over the phone.
13˚/59˚ Restaurant
Brand new marina-side fine dining restaurant, 13˚/59˚, has opened at Port Ferdinand, named after the longitude and latitude of Barbados. The restaurant can seat up to 76 diners and is already receiving excellent reviews on Trip Advisor for its impressive menus and first class service and ambiance.
13˚/59˚is run by Executive Head Chef Andrew Turner, formerly of Michelin starred restaurant, ‘Chapter One’, in Dublin. Andrew was trained in London under Marco Pierre White and later ran his own fine dining restaurant in the Sydney Opera House and went on to head Michelin star restaurants in Ireland.
Andrew‘s menus use the natural ingredients of the four corners of Barbados and its surrounding ocean, in contemporary and innovative style, backed by an exceptional wine list. UNNA’s motto is ‘Luxury with Soul’ and Andrew and Executive Sous Chef Roz Allen have embraced this in creating dishes that that are as beautiful to look at, as they are to eat.
Both the Sandbox Tree Spa and 13˚/59˚ are open to residents and non residents.
