THE PIG is welcoming a brand new eco-friendly and totally individual lodge to the New Forest. Bert & May Spaces have created a bespoke box using their environmentally friendly building design, which has been combined with Judy Hutson’s inimitable interiors.
Bert’s Box at THE PIG has been created in collaboration with leading London architects Box 9. They have worked to incorporate storage and heating systems, whilst doors and windows have been specially selected to allow for maximum light and air flow through the box. Every detail has been meticulously thought through to ensure total comfort alongside the features which will insulate the box in the most ecological way.
Inside the lodge itself there is a master bedroom, a WC and shower room as well as a kitchen/lounge area. The kitchen, which includes a Stovax log burner, is the heart of the box, as it is within any home. Alongside all the clever eco features, the unit also has its own state of the art AV and lighting system as well as its own hot water and heating supply.
