King Pacific Lodge is situated in Northern British Columbia on the shores of Princess Royal Island, in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. Accessible only by Float plane. Vancouver acts as the International gateway to the King Pacific Lodge.
Only open for 6 months of every year (May to October), the floating King Pacific Lodge resides in a sheltered harbour along the shores of Princess Royal Island in British Columbia, amid one of the world’s largest remaining traces of temperate rainforest. The lodge is encircled by some of the most remote and stunning natural wilderness that Canada has to offer.
The secluded lodge consists of 17 rooms and suites in total all with a rustic and natural feel and style. The spacious rooms and suites all feature ensuite slate trimmed bathrooms including a shower and bathtub, a king size bed, comfortable lounge areas and a private window sitting area. For a truly special occasion pick the Romance Suite with its handmade king size driftwood bed and stunning views of Barnard Harbour and surrounding mountains. If a room with a view is number one on your holiday list, then the Waterfall Suite is a must. This corner suite has an expansive panorama of the ocean and the waterfall, from both inside and outside on the two private decks.
Throughout the lodge the emphasis is on relaxation and enjoying the ultimate tranquillity this warm and welcoming environment, has to offer. Take advantage of the numerous wooden decking areas overlooking tranquil waters or sit back in cosy armchairs in front of open roaring fires. For additional pampering visit the spa for an unwinding, tension releasing treatment, or indulge yourself in the hot tub, steam room or sauna. If food is your pleasure you can of course enjoy a gourmet dining experience that will tantalise and tempt your taste buds while you wonder at the double sided ocean views.
If you’re a more active person, there is a range of activities on offer including guided hikes through the surrounding Canadian wilderness, scouring vast woodlands for sightings of wolves, deer or bears. And if fishing is your forte enjoy a spot of either ocean or river fly fishing as the Pacific salmon begin to migrate upstream.
