Welcome to the Autumn issue of LUXlife Magazine.
While we’ve spent the last six months – and all of summer – restricted by lockdowns and curfews and quarantines, all signs point to winter heralding a tentative freedom, of sorts (if nothing too drastic changes). Yet, we’re currently treading water in the mellowed hues of autumn, waiting for more normal operations or a retreat back behind closed doors. It’s a time of utter uncertainty with the future looking both murky and bright.
So, we’ve got to take our joys where we can get it. There’s never been a more opportune time to enjoy the simple things, the luxuries and the everyday moments. It’s fair to say that we’ve lived through a colossal paradigm shift, where simply getting a bite to eat with friends has become a treat and a rarity, if not entirely impossible. The normal moments have become the very definition of luxury. And the luxurious has become a distant dream. That’s probably one of the most jarring realities of 2020 – a complete shift in expectations. Regardless, we’ve featured some of the best hotels, products and experiences for when we can safely go back to our guilty pleasures. Enjoy!
Lastly, I hope you are all safe and well, and the team at LUXlife wish you a wonderful season ahead.
