Brugal proudly announces its most premium expression to date: Andrés Brugal Edition 02. Fifth-generation Maestra Ronera Jassil Villanueva Quintana meticulously crafted this distinguished rum as a tribute to founder Andrés Brugal Montaner, the Brugal Maestros Roneros who followed in his footsteps, and the monumental journey that brought Brugal to international acclaim, including their historic voyage to the United States, which marked the internationalisation of our rums. Priced at £2,420 per bottle, only 416 bottles are available globally, with a limited allocation of 20 for the UK market.
Building on the success of the first release, which honoured Brugal’s Dominican roots, this time, Edition 02 celebrates the spirit of exploration that has defined Brugal since its founding, paying tribute to its historic journey to the United States, which paved the way for the brand’s international fame. “This series is a tribute to my family’s legacy and the remarkable journey that brought our rum to the world,” said Villanueva Quintana. “Andrés Brugal Edition 02 reflects the unwavering craftsmanship and creativity that have propelled us forward, from the sunlit shores of Puerto Plata to global recognition.”
Andrés Brugal Edition 02 invites connoisseurs to experience a rum of unmatched character. The liquid’s radiant golden amber hue hints at the rich complexity within. On the nose, aromas of brown sugar, fresh vanilla pods, toasted pecans, and creamy coconut are balanced by citrus and tropical fruits, with subtle undertones of aged wood. The palate reveals layers of woody richness, creamy vanilla fudge, baking spices, and caramelised banana, culminating in a long, dry finish with velvety hints of vanilla and spice.
