Silverstone Circuit has unveiled even more excitement as the return of the Formula 1 Sprint will bring more action and exhilaration to the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix 2026.
The Formula 1 Sprint will be run over 100kms of the Silverstone Circuit across the Friday and Saturday of the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix Weekend (2-5 July 2026). The short and fast-paced spectacle lasts around 30 minutes, with drivers racing flat-out from start to finish without the requirement to pit.
Guests at the British Grand Prix on Friday will see the Formula 1 drivers hitting the track for Free Practice and Sprint Qualifying. On the Saturday the anticipation grows as the drivers race to win the Formula 1 Sprint, followed by an intense head-to-head showdown in Qualifying to set the grid for the next day’s Grand Prix.
