This Christmas, Pine Cliffs Resort in the Algarve will be pulling out all the stops to ensure their guests have a Christmas to remember. With a focus on all things culinary, they are offering cooking and cocktail making classes, a chef’s table 8-course dinner experience and a wide choice of dining experiences over the festive season. The finale will be a fabulous firework display over the beach. With daytime temperatures hovering around 17°C and sunny days, guests can work off their indulgences with an array of activities from golf, tennis to fitness classes or choose to chill out in the Serenity Spa – The Art of Wellbeing.
Cooking and Cocktails – From celebrating Christmas and New Year, the resort will have special workshops at MIMO Algarve, the resort’s cooking school 26th to 30th December. Cookery classes will include traditional Portuguese pastries, vegan Christmas and special brunch favourites. Afternoon sessions will include making and tastings of Christmas cocktails, Portugal in 5 Glasses and traditional Christmas hot beverages. Prices start from €52 per adult/ €26 per child.
Christmas – On Christmas Eve, Pescador, the resort’s renowned fish restaurant, and Corda Café, Pine Cliffs Resort’s main restaurant , will be open between 6:00pm – 10:30pm with a festive à la carte menu.
On Christmas Day, Jardim Colonial will be the serving a traditional buffet of Portuguese cuisine from 1:00pm – 4:00pm from €62 per person. Wine & beer packages from €22 per person. Reservations and pre-payment required.
New Year’s Eve – On New Year’s Eve, the resort will have five NEW offerings:
MIMO Algarve will host its exclusive Chef’s Table, featuring a welcome cocktail, eight-course menu with wine pairing, plus exclusive access to Mirador Champagne Bar, where guests will be served a glass of champagne and canapés. Adults only and reservations and pre-payment required. €325 per person – free cancelation until 22nd December.
Maré restaurant on Falésia Beach will offer a set menu with a buffet of starters and desserts. Begin the evening with a welcome cocktail on the upper deck, followed by dinner and, from 2:00am onwards, a DJ and an open premium bar. Adults only and reservation and pre-payment required. €295 per person – free cancelation until 22nd December
O Pescador and Piri Piri Steakhouse restaurants will be open with a festive à la carte menu from 6:00pm to 11.30pm. Reservations for both spaces offer exclusive access to the main gardens to celebrate New Year’s Eve with a champagne toast. Reservation required with a no-show fee of €50 per person.
Farewell to 2023 will certainly have a special flavour for those who prefer to enjoy the last meal of the year in Jardim Colonial and Sala São Rafael where a New Year’s Buffet will be served, from 6:00pm – 10:00pm from €98 per person. Wine & beer packages from €20 per person. For those who reserve Sala São Rafael from €160 per person, there will be an open bar from 10:00pm to 1:00am and exclusive access to watch the fireworks from the balcony. Adults only.
In addition to various spaces where you can watch the fireworks, such as the gardens and Mirador (exclusive to MIMO), there will be a “disco” space in the Aldar room with a guest DJ from 1:00am to 4:00am.
Bring in the New Year with lunch à la carte at Maré from 12:00pm to 4:00pm with live music. First come, first served basis.
Stay at one of the four properties: Gardens, Residence, Ocean Suites, Hotel including buffet dinner at Jardim Colonial. All accommodation packages include one day of free access to the Thermal Oasis at Serenity SPA.
