The four-star hotel welcomes children of all ages with large family rooms available, some featuring a separate lounge area so the whole family can relax and unwind together.
Priced from £229, the Laura Ashley designed family rooms offer luxurious 2000 spring, natural fibre mattresses with Egyptian cotton linen to guarantee a comfortable stay for your little VIPs. Each room features a hospitality tray complete with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and locally made sweets.
The Brasserie ensures families won’t go hungry with their selection of dishes, including a special children’s menu. Individual Children’s dishes starting from £2.95, with a 3-course option starting from £10.95. Children’s dishes include a fan of melon with fruit sauce to start, sausage and mash to follow and local English Lakes ice cream to finish.
Afternoon Tea
Families can relax in the luxurious Laura Ashley designed lounges to indulge in afternoon tea together. Priced from £8.95, little ones can enjoy their own Children’s Afternoon Tea which features traditional sweet treats including Victoria sponge cake, chocolate éclair and raspberry Eton mess plus plain ham and strawberry jam sandwiches.
Parents can opt for the Belsfield Afternoon Tea which include a selection of freshly made finger sandwiches, warm scones, clotted cream, preserves and a tempting selection of cakes and pastries. Prices start from £22.95 per person and adults can also order Prosecco or Champagne with their afternoon tea. Between October and April, guests can opt for the Afternoon Tea & Cruise package which includes afternoon tea and a lake cruise ticket for £24.95 per person.
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free afternoon tea menus are also available.
Activities
The Lake District is known as ‘the adventure capital of the UK’ and offers activities and adventures to keep the whole family occupied, including The World of Beatrix Potter which is a short walk away from The Belsfield. Guests can enjoy the local area with a picnic by the lake, rent a canoe, kayak, a cycle or go for a leisurely walk.
Stay and Sail
Located in prime position next to England’s largest lake, Lake Windermere, The Belsfield offers a Stay and Sail package from October until April. Priced from £249 for a family of four, the Stay and Sail package includes an overnight stay in a designer Laura Ashley room, followed by a lake view breakfast the next morning and tickets for Windermere Lake Cruises.
Guests can take a short stroll through the hotel’s beautiful gardens to Lake Windermere where they can catch their cruise. The Belsfield is one of the few hotels with direct access to the lake.
