Every member of the team must pass various modules before being allowed to prep food or serve guests. Within the training scheme, the staff must not only learn all about food hygiene and dietary requirements, but they must also acquire the skills necessary to deliver great service with charm and personality. They call it their ‘Nice as Pie Training’. When a team member completes their initial training, they are paired with a buddy to ensure that the standards and consistency of the Touchays ‘service with style’ are maintained. Owing to this commitment and investment in the staff training and development, Clare and Russell are justifiably proud of the team’s ability and love receiving all the wonderful compliments from couples, their friends, family and event organisers. As she looks ahead, Clare foresees even more exciting developments for Touchays. Recently, the firm moved premises to celebrate being in business for a quarter of a century, and looking to the future the team will be using this new space to grow and build upon its current success. “Since we picked up the keys in January 2019, we have used local craftspeople and tradespeople to transform the premises.
