Originally from Cape Town in South Africa where he studied hospitality, Duncan has more than two decades of global luxury hospitality experience under his belt, including being a member of the pre-opening and opening team at the now famed Corinthia Hotel London, where he held multiple roles. Duncan has also held roles with Jumeirah and St. Pancras Renaissance, additionally he played a significant role in the rebrand, repositioning and launch of the highly successful luxury lifestyle boutique hotel The Trafalgar St. James. Throughout his career, Duncan has been privileged to work alongside some of the most extraordinary hoteliers and has also developed long-standing, close relationships with clients and partners across multiple sectors. COVID has affected @luxurylondonguy, with Duncan seeing many larger trips being pushed back a year or two and an interim “mini-moon or celebration” taking centre stage instead. However, Duncan remained positive throughout and didn’t let the challenge of closed borders stop him from providing experiences; in 2019, he got creative and explored virtual safari experiences and continued to offer magical and memorable moments at a time when it seemed impossible. Not only has he been able to keep business coming while still delighting clients, but this project also led to future bookings in 2022.
