In July, the studio was named among the winners of the LUXlife Leading Designers Awards programme, as the Most Outstanding Full-Service Interior Design Firm in LA. On the back of this deserved success, we spoke to Owner and Principal Designer, Anne Carr, who took the time out of her busy schedule to share some insights into her firm. Anne Carr has always had an eye for outstanding design. Convinced to switch industries, from a promising future in finance to the pursuit of interior design, she has blossomed - her passion for artistic, refined creations clear for all to see. A Connecticut native, her firm has made an immediate impact on the Californian coast, her designs a revelation in a contemporary-fusion style, embracing classical, Tuscan, European, rustic and Californian flourishes in her work. Anne starts by describing what qualities she believes great designers embody, “It sounds repetitive, but it cannot be emphasised enough that excellent designers listen. They are able to communicate with their client, interpret their desires, and then translate their brainchild into physical spaces. An excellent designer understands that they cannot assume what a client wants and then design for them. They design for the client.
