This sets us apart because if it can’t be found...we create it. Growing up in the countryside, I was surrounded by nature’s beauty and my imagination flourished. Whether going into the woods to gather greenery for holiday decorating, rearranging furniture on a whim or even painting flowers on my mom’s newly painted white cabinets, the wheels of creativity have been turning for a long time. That passion and creativity have developed into an-ideal that I strive to bring into my client relationships. I love all design, but I am most passionate about sleek sculptural lines and clean minimal aesthetics, which have an undeniable allure. Unfussy by nature, this style evokes a calming, uncluttered ambiance where life can slow-down. I love using neutral backgrounds that set the stage for almost any design style. The most rewarding projects to date were luxurious contemporaries with appropriate budgeting to allow for many customized pieces. We were able to create-and fabricate from raw materials a stunningly designed stainless fireplace, a master retreat with fully integrated steam shower with ergonomically solid surface seating, custom tables and chairs and laser cut light fixtures, just to name a few. For instance, technology is strong on that forefront, from interiors to extended outdoor living areas. As such, we are continuously researching the most innovative products, especially when it comes to lighting, bath and kitchen. These are the most pertinent areas of innovation and one that we must always stay educated so that we can accurately inform our clients. I have had the privilege to visit high end manufacturing facilities like Sub-Zero and Wolf and Porcelanosa In Spain for a collective product reveal of newly developed flooring, tile, and high-end plumbing fixtures. The Nielsen Collection also takes advantage of continuing education classes to keep learning and exhibiting the cutting edge of the industry. This is a great way to enhance your product knowledge, so you can best- inform your client on value based, quality design elements. Ultimately, it is a great time to be a designer.
