10 AVictory For Vegan Food Vegan food has become an increasingly wide part of society in recent months and years, with more and more people realising the benefit of switching to a carefully balanced diet that contains no animal products. Now, one catering company in the South of England is taking the mission of raising awareness and education around vegan food to more places and people than ever before. We found out more about the Vegan Food Pimp, which was also crowned the Best Vegan Events Catering Company 2020 - Southern England in the LUXlife Global Wedding Awards 2020. Since beginning life a number of years ago, Vegan Food Pimp has always focused its mission on helping people see that vegan food is everything that people need to live a healthy life without sacrificing on taste and flavour, and is often so much more than that. Founded and spearheaded by the chief vegan food pimp herself, Lynn Nicholson, the aim of the business has always been to show people how much healthier they can feel just by changing their diet and talking about the ethical reasons for changing to a vegan lifestyle. Rather than dictate a change, it is done through education to ensure a more natural and long-lasting change, rather than force a quick fix that will not stand the test of time. As a trained holistic nutritionist and a devout vegan, Lynn is always on the lookout for new ways to demonstrate just how possible it is to eat in a way that is super healthy and super delicious whilst adhering to vegan choices at all times. Over the years, Lynn has developed a huge selection of recipes, most of which can be found in her first book - released in September 2016 -and her upcoming second book, based on her time working as a vegan chef at a monkey sanctuary in South Africa. Prior to that, Lynn spent 2015 working at Jacobs Ridge, a sanctuary that she co-founded. There, she graciously provided delicious and nutritious food for all of the volunteers who gave up their time to work there. Having cooked around the world, Lynn settled in Brighton where she opened the Vegan Food Pimp restaurant, and now focuses her efforts on private chef and private event work to bring vegan work to even more people. Today, she is based in the Midlands – a central location that allows easy travel to the rest of the UK mainland. Just one of those private events that Lynn and the team at Vegan Food Pimp caters to, is weddings. Ensuring that the entire catering experience for a wedding is as luxurious as the day itself, every member of staff is completely communicative, enthusiastic, professional, flexible, and Mar20084 organised beyond belief. What the Vegan Food Pimp offers for happy couples is something totally unique and can be deeply personal for them. In the past, Lynn has designed an extensive menu of vegan dishes, that have proven a real treat even with hardened carnivores amongst the guests. Ultimately, all menus are bespoke and designed to reflect the personalities of the couples at the centre of the day. In order to create the recipes that Vegan Food Pimp uses in its event catering for weddings and other events, it allows animals, nature, people, shapes, and places to form the inspiration for the dish without directly becoming a part of it. Each dish is a visual masterpiece, as much as a gastronomical masterpiece. Presentation is absolutely crucial for Lynn and her team, followed swiftly by the exceptional use of spices. Throughout her years of catering for all kinds of people in all kinds of places, Lynn has refined her mastery over the spices and the skill she now imparts on her workforce is one that is only mastered after many years of experimenting. There are so many ways that people can choose to be an activist for animal welfare in the world today, and for the Vegan Food Pimp, it is about bringing truly mouth-watering and flavoursome food to those who never knew that being vegan could be so delicious.
