25 Feb20338 Dial M For Magnificence Luxury food means many different things to many different people, but it almost certainly includes steak every time. Steak is a truly luxurious meal, often reserved for the most elite guests in a restaurant. However, one relatively new brand in London has made steak its primary offering to every guest who comes through its doors. M Restaurants is this years’ recipient of the award for being the Most Unique Steakhouse Brand – London, so we took the time to find out how and why it earned that title. Food is appreciated all over the world, and M Restaurants has sought to bring that appreciation to London by taking inspiration from six different countries in six different continents all over the world. Australia, Argentina, Japan, France, South Africa, and the United States are all famed for their outstanding use of food, but M Restaurants does something different with the influences from each one. Curated by executive chef Mike Reid, each dish that is served at M Restaurants includes a modern twist that includes prime steak cuts from each of those six countries. For instance, one dish might be enhanced using a South African rib eye steak and firecracker sauce, whilst another could benefit from a high-grade Japanese pure Kobe fillet steak. Since day one, the mission of M Restaurants has always been to showcase some of the best beef and wine from all over the world, and that is most evident in the six countries it has chosen to showcase. Not only do these places have the best beef and wine, but M Restaurants also has formed personal affiliations and partnerships with farms, farmers, and unique artisans in these countries to showcase some of the world’s rarest produce from these places. For instance, the world- renowned Kobe and Blackmore Wagyu are used amongst the world’s top chefs, including Thomas Keller, Heston Blumenthal, and Brett Graham to name but a few. Preparation of steak is absolutely key, and M Restaurants did not become the number one restaurant chain in London for being a true steak aficionado by mere chance. Winning numerous awards in the process, M Restaurants took the time to understand each steak and how best it cooks. Over time, each steak became more flavoursome with each attempt, and the secrets of the steaks were revealed. Now, M Restaurants believes that a combination of coal and wood brings out the best in a steak, which is why the restaurant always cooks its steaks over a fire for an authentic flavour that is impossible to match. In every restaurant and bar, the food menu at M Restaurants is complemented perfectly by a stunning wine list that boasts more than 120 wines by the glass. Eating steak may be one of the most luxurious things to do, but M Restaurants has also strived to make sure that guests are able to do it in an equally luxurious environment. The restaurants themselves feature striking elements that capture the luxury of eating steak, such as Himalayan salt chambers for ageing meat. Coupled with unrivalled event spaces, beautiful bars, elegant wine rooms, and private members only areas known as The Den, any one of the M Restaurants collection of eateries is the perfect haven of luxury for a truly mouth-watering meal that is impossible to beat. Whether working their way through a selection of fine wines, enjoying sumptuous steak, or just nipping into a dog- friendly bar for a Wagyu snack or cocktail, M Restaurants aims to offer quality in an understated luxurious environment. Luxury abounds in London, whether it be the affluent lifestyle of the rich and famous who make their home there, or the wealth of culture and activities that the city holds in its many places. Now the city can add eating steak at one of the finest steak-based establishments to its already extensive list of luxurious reasons to visit. M Restaurants is nothing short of exceptional, and its work with beef and wine from all over the world is an example of drawing on international inspiration to create something entirely new and totally luxurious.
