Its self-developed ingredients are registered according to REACH regulation and certified by COSMOS, ECOCERT, halal, and vegan standards, and they are used to create products such as moisturisers, anti-ageing/ anti-wrinkle creams, hair/eyelash/eyebrow growth products, anti-allergy creams, tanning products, hair dyes, shampoos, facial cleansers, and more. None of this could happen without the company’s high-level technical team which is led by senior professors, doctors and masters. They have developed independently intellectual property products, and continuously improved their own innovation capabilities and the market competitiveness of products to break the technical barriers brought by international patents. They have also been exploring the international market actively by participating in various co-operations carried out by foreign manufacturers, constantly providing worldwide distributors and customers with high-quality cosmetics ingredients, holistic application solutions and reliable efficacy evaluation in the personal care industries. Spec Chem’s research and development team consists of outstanding graduates with bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees from well-known institutions such as China Pharmaceutical University, Jiangnan University, Nanjing Tech University, Hebei University, and Qingdao University of Science and Technology. Among them, there are four professors and two doctors, and more than 90% of the team members have a bachelor’s degree or above. The research and development department is divided into four major bases: bioactive peptide synthesis, natural plant extraction, biological fermentation, and green chemical synthesis. Each of these centres is led by at least one professor, doctor, or senior scientist. The peptide synthesis and customisation production base has advanced peptide synthesis and purification technology, and polypeptide products with purity of up to 99% are synthesised. The natural plant extraction production base deciphers nature’s secrets, and extracts various versatile and stable natural ingredients with high purity and quality from ginkgo biloba, poria cocos, black bean peel, black tea seed, and other natural plants. The biological fermentation production base is equipped with high-quality production line and senior experts, dedicated to further research on growth factors, self-tanning agents, biological whitening agents, and bio-surfactants. Finally, the green chemical synthesis production base has a 1,000-ton GMP standard production line in which SpecWhite® VCE and SpecKare® PO are two of the most popular products. Spec Chem has passed the certification of ISO9001 Quality Management System and the SA8000 system for Social Responsibility Management. And as a member of the RSPO organisation, it has implemented all standardised management system into its research and development, production, quality control testing, application research, efficacy testing, and the sales process, thereby strongly guaranteeing product quality.
