Creativity is woven into every aspect of its work, from brainstorming bespoke course content to celebrating each child’s progress in unique and meaningful ways. Every programme developed is dynamic, fun, and meaningful. The RYTC and ESB designs programmes that balance education with emotional wellbeing and integrate arts-based practices, storytelling, and creative exploration. To further this mission and provide holistic, flexible solutions, The RYTC and ESB partners with educators, communities, and families. One example of the group’s outstanding work is its creative writing courses, which all begin with an original children’s book starring the team’s therapy dog. The course ends with each child producing their own book. This is an incredibly meaningful experience for participants, as many of the children have various special needs that result in them having low self-esteem, difficulties in engaging in learning, and a fear of failure. “Our creative writing courses are designed for all ages and abilities and provide a safe space to have ideas, share ideas, and shine,” Helen explains. “Perhaps most importantly, the courses end with each child producing their own book. It’s there to remind them of a huge achievement whenever they have a crisis of confidence. It’s there for them to share.” In order to consistently deliver such impactful and innovative solutions, the partnership thrives on collaboration, creativity, and shared passion.
