Hannah discusses this and the venue’s unique features, which mark it out as an ex- ceptional setting for a truly special day. “When we first started renovating, the main focus of the project was originally the estate, the forestry project and conservation, but with the completion of the newly built luxury lodge and working barn, we have placed more emphasis on the hospitality and events side of the business, striving for a high end, good quality product with exceptional service, a unique offering in a beautiful location on the West Coast of Scotland. “As a venue, we are unique in that we can offer a blank canvas – any bridal couple with vision and creativity can have a lot of fun here and do things just the way they want to, to create their own personalised special day. We work with local wedding suppliers to offer a full package if required, or couples can pick and choose from both ours and their own suppliers. The couples we attract are usually quirky, fun, laid back, risk takers. The planning process is enjoyable, with new ideas being brought in constantly, with rustic and vintage themes being very popular to fit in with the style of the barn.” As she looks ahead, Hannah believes that Carrick Castle Estate will achieve even greater success thanks to its flexibility and dedication to meeting its clients’ needs, as she excitedly concludes. “Looking to the future, at Carrick Castle Estate we are hoping to expand our portfolio of holi- day cottages and wedding guest accommoda- tion on the estate. Following the exceptionally successful opening of the newly renovated cot- tages on the estate, we feel that we can only get bigger and stronger from here. After all, we are quite aware that couples, weddings and tastes change and adapt constantly, and we plan to keep up with those changes by enhanc- ing our offering over the coming years. We have a blank canvas venue so there is nothing holding us back from adapting this to suit the changing tastes and market. We will assess our suppliers on a regular basis to ensure they suit the style and needs of our couples. “One thing that I do not foresee changing is the importance and necessity of exception- al service, and a personalised and friendly offering. Whether that is viewings face to face over a cup of tea, or oversees viewings via FaceTime, we will continue to do this with a smile on our faces, use first names, find out what is important to that specific couple, stick to our timings, be flexible and never say no, these are small things that are easy to do and cost nothing, but mean the world to a couple viewing their future wedding venue.
