Debora provides us with a history of the firm and how she came to join it. “Stile Biologico was born by an idea of the agronomist and yoga teacher Giuditta Blandini over 20 years ago. From the very beginning my mother was one of her team, supporting her in bringing her ideas to life. I joined later, learning my craft and creating inspired clothing that is both unique and timeless. “Two years ago, Giuditta Blandini decided to retire, so now my mother Daniela and I continue her work. Both artisans, we try to combine organic or natural fibres with traditional Italian artisan work without losing a simple but elegant style for timeless clothes. We collaborate with other Tuscan artisans to made shirts or accessories such as earrings and necklaces. We also repair and alter clothing, using our imagination to turn unloved garments into something truly special. “Our clients are from all over the world, visiting our small store in Florence which offers them beautiful views and a cosy atmosphere. All of our customers really love our designs, the materials we use and, most importantly, they really apprentice the fact that our clothes are made here by artisan hands.” It is Stile Biologico’s focus on natural creations, alongside the fact that every piece is handcrafted with a unique design, that sets the brand apart from others in this competitive market, as Debora highlights. “Working using natural or organic certificated fibres is what sets us apart from most other fashion brands.
