Bringing with it a tradition never interrupted, made of intense aromas and flavours, it also carries great competence, professionalism and technology, the basic elements of the Italian art of olive oil. To begin with, Chiara gives us a brief overview of the firm and offers more insight into its typical clientele. “Founded by my grandfather Pietro Coricelli, who began his adventure in the world of extra virgin olive oil making it known on Italian tables, first in Spoleto, then throughout Italy, Coricelli oil is now present in over 110 countries around the world with a production plant in Spoleto where 70 employees work. “Now running the third generation, represented by the brothers Pietro, Marco, Lorenzo, and Chiara – myself, the family tradition continues thanks to the commitment of each of them with all having an active role in the company.” Conducting research before developing your portfolio is vital, particularly as there may be a gap in the market for a new product. Moreover, as Chiara goes on to explain, this is something she could not agree more with. “Naturally, our R&D department is the real heart of the company. Once we have defined the market needs, we match them with the product portfolio, combined with the right communication (and on top of all with a terrific taste!).” If we take a closer look at the Food & Drink industry today, consumers are requesting more and more attention to what they eat, not only in taste but also in diversifying the quality of the product and different oils according to their nutritional benefit. The success of this line represents an additional step in building a stronger culture for premium quality Evoo.” As competition arises across the industry, the business continue to set the highest of standards, however as Chiara points out, their knowledge has arguably been the most telling factor in overcoming competition. “Deep knowledge of production areas in the Mediterranean basin, strong relations with agricultural cooperatives and a focus on top quality selections has helped give the right balance to each product. We are all grown in the edible oil culture, we know how to do it. ” As a family-run business, the team at Pietro Coricelli SpA are a close-knit unit and as Chiara goes on to explain, anyone joining the business must buy in to the culture already instilled to fit in. “With quite young staff amongst the team, we are highly demanding and with it we have a strong desire for growth. In our staff selection, we want to show the same passion in all we do, and our team members have to feel part of the family. Moreover, to really feel a Coricelli, any new team members must show their determination, enthusiasm and dedication.” Finally, Chiara commented on the future of Pietro Coricelli SpA and offers us her thought on how businesses can really be successful in the Food & Drink industry. “Moving forward, we will be focusing on extending our product range dedicated to wellbeing- from one side and to the Mediterranean line on the other.
