Becoming UK agents for Italian manufacturer GGF, within weeks of starting NOWAH, was an honour. In April 2022 we secured the Exclusive Distribution Rights (in the UK) for Italy’s KMP, owner of internationally renowned brands AVANCINI, KEMPLEX, and LA PASTAIA, the manufacturers of the very best equipment in their respective fields. However, the best highlights have had to do with the training and sponsorship work we do with talented young chefs, competitions, culinary course providers/ colleges, world renowned chefs and culinary associations. Over the last 18 months, it’s been our honour to work with Pastry World Cup Champion Massimo Pica. In November 2022 KEMPLEX dough sheeters and NOWAH hosted upskill days in Milan for some of the UK’s leading pastry chefs, including Andrew Ditchfield (House of Commons), Sarah Frankland (Pennyhill Park), Mathieu Dias (Brown’s Hotel), Lillian Savage (Royal Household), and others. In May 2023 LA PASTAIA fresh pasta extruders and NOWAH arranged for an award-winning pasta chef to provide training to student chefs at the Cambridge Regional College, while, in July, NOWAH and Leeds City College arranged for the Pastry World Cup Champion, Massimo Pica, to visit the UK and provide training to the LCC pastry department lecturers. We also provide ongoing sponsorship and support to teaching centres including The School of Artisan Food (Welbeck Estate) bakery department, and we’re always happy to support professionals and startup businesses, as we ourselves understand many of the challenges they’re going through. Despite the ongoing challenges faced by everyone in the food and drink industry, we always look for the positives in situations and remain hugely optimistic about the future.
