La Cavale: Most Luxurious Winery 2019 - Luberon Today known as La Cavale, these historic premises are the dream come true of its owner, mogul Paul Dubrule, co-founder of the international hotel group ACCOR. Designed by world renowned architect Jean- Michel Wilmotte, it is both a winery and a luxury, out-of-the-ordinary living space where visitors can learn about wine, winemaking and discover the riches of the Luberon, a magical region in Provence, France. A true concept store, La Cavale features a fine selection of wines and spirits, wine themed gifts and high-end local artefacts. In addition, it offers a large choice of interactive wine workshops destined to educate amateurs and insiders. In the spring and summer, its terrace fills up with music lovers eager to listen to various styles of performers while contemplating the beautiful landscape of the Luberon, its mountains and vineyards. Its facilities include state-of-the-art winemaking spaces designed to produce the best bottles possible. Among other wineries, Jean-Michel Wilmotte has designed Chateau Cos d’Estournel’s cellar and Chateau Pedesclaux, to name only two in Bordeaux. Well-tended vines, the enlightened advice of a great wine consultant, Alain Graillot, and the improvement of the vat room and cellar have been key to the improvement of La Cavale’s winemaking. The result of this combination of human expertise and technology is exquisite wines and an exceptional experience for guests. Everyone who visits La Cavale enjoys the benefits of experienced wine stewards and the delicious, fresh wines that the winery has become revered for producing. Currently, La Cavale hosts more than a thousand visitors per month and moving for- ward the winery’s team have exciting plans to open its unique venues for a range of private functions and business events.
