Starters include soup of the day, chicken liver parfait with red onion marma- lade, and sea trout with charred cucumber amongst others. The emphatic main dishes include grand reserve sirloin of beef, pan seared chicken, sea bream, and beetroot risotto, each complete with trimmings to truly finish the dish. Desserts represent the perfect way to finish a meal, and these are to die for. Classics are present in sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream, with extra special additions such as crème brulee and apple and almond tart. For those in search of cheese and wine, fear not, for Brockley Hall has it covered. A selection of English cheeses are served alongside chutneys and crackers for that perfect Sunday afternoon finale. Including a wide selection of homemade cakes and freshly-made scones, afternoon tea at Brockley Hall is as luxurious as any other meal on the menu throughout the week. Choosing their own refreshing sandwiches, variety of bread, and loose-leaf tea, guests can spoil themselves for a tasty afternoon. However, in spite of all this aforementioned culinary divinity, the crowning jewel in Brockley Hall’s food offerings is undoubtedly the seven-course fine dining menu. Served over the course of two and a half hours, this journey showcases the ultimate talents of Scott and his team of chefs. Beginning with canapes and amuse bouche, guests are then treated to a selection of starters that epitomise luxury. Beef tartare, rabbit Ballantine, line- caught mackerel, scallop ceviche and a homemade cheesecake begin the journey into food heaven. From there, the mains take it to another level. Succulent chicken breast, red mullet, smoked cod, Yorkshire Dales lamb, and potato gnocchi are served up, with a myriad of vegetables and accompaniments to complement the flavours. Once the mains have been devoured, pre-dessert follows, with full dessert swiftly behind. Toffee apple arctic rolls, lemon tops, peanut butter mousse, mango solero, and a selection of English cheeses are the perfect way to almost finish the ride, with coffee and petit fours presenting a relaxed finale. The selection of drinks at Brockley Hall present the perfect accompaniment to any meal. Need a rich and flavoursome red wine to match that flawlessly cooked lamb? How about a Chilean merlot from the Tierra del Rey? Perhaps a fruity white wine is needed to complement a smoked cod? Then maybe a Meerlust Chardonnay from South Africa will do the trick. Sommeliers are as knowledgeable as they are friendly, bringing a wealth of expertise and a genuine smile to their service. Sourcing a wide variety of wines from around the world, Brockley Hall offers an extensive collection of organic and biodynamic wines to suit any palate. As well as the large cellar of wines, the restaurant also boasts a refreshing selection of beers and ales, with at least two hand-pulled local ales, and more than fifty gins with which bar attenders can craft delightful cocktails. Guests can experience all of this, and so much more, in the exquisite Liberty Room, the embodiment of private luxury dining. Able to accommodate up to twenty people, the room can be decorated according to the clients personal tastes, and menus can be tailored to ensure that all dietary needs and requirements are met. With a five-star food hygiene rating, the restaurant, kitchen, bar and all aspects of Brockley Hall operate with the highest levels of food safety and quality. Ensuring that everything is spotlessly clean and meticulously looked-after, it is no wonder that the restaurant has gained such recognition, given the standards it holds itself to.
