36 | LUXlife Magazine Restaurant Group of the Year - UK A fast-growing collective of some of London’s premier bars and restaurants, the Thesleff Group is comprised of a team dedicated to crafting amazing memories and incredible experiences for patrons of its establishments, providing genuine hospitality, high calibre cuisine, and unparalleled service at its remarkable eateries situated in some of London’s landmark locations. We speak with Head of Marketing Kellie Erm to learn more, not only about Thesleff Group’s offerings, but also Founder and CEO Markus Thesleff. With a team comprised of everything from seasoned executives to creative minds, the team at Thesleff Group are wholly united in their shared vision to provide diners with unrivalled experiences across London, relentlessly pursuing excellence and leveraging the latest trends in order to continuously reshape London’s world-famous bar and restaurant scene. It is the aim of those working for the company to set the new norm when it comes to customer service and great food, something carried out by bringing together the best of what London has to offer and combining it with the sort of experiences one can find across the US, Spain, the Middle East, and beyond. Under Thesleff Group’s banner is three distinctive establishments, with Los Mochis being perhaps the most experimental of these, with its Mexican/ Japanese concept being prized across the city for representing the best of both of these cultures from the food and drink to the décor and service. Sale e Pepe in Knightsbridge on the other hand is a historical location that is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and has played host to generations of guests, affording each a great atmosphere with traditional Italian hospitality. Cocktail bar Viajante87 is instead famed for meticulously crafted signature cocktails, bolstered by a sensory experience guiding patrons across a haven that celebrates the rich culture of Latin America. Spearheading this operation is award-winning serial entrepreneur Markus Thesleff, whose more than 20 years of continuous experience and success in the international hospitality market have allowed Thesleff Group to thrive, blending history and culture, innovation and tradition, as well as comfort, excitement, and harmony to create authentic dining experiences like no other. The commitment had by Thesleff Group to the areas of transformation, sustainability, and philanthropy are all reflected in Markus, who serves to embody such qualities through the dedicating of his time, resources, and profits to an array of charitable causes. In the midst of the financial difficulties that are gripping the UK economy, Thesleff Group and particularly Los Mochis have doubled down on the commitment to local communities, partnering with the Felix Project’s Meal for a Meal Give Back Programme, which has seen almost 265,000 meals provided over the last two years, aiding them in, “addressing immediate food insecurity and showcasing the positive impact of collective action in times of adversity”, as Kellie explains. Furthermore, under Markus’ expert guidance, Los Mochis has raised more than £12,000 for the Help Ukraine Emergency Appeal Fund, with this money going to the women and children who have been impacted by the conflict. In addition to this, Thesleff Group partners with WaterAid supporter Belu Water, aiding them demonstrably in ensuring universal access to safe and clean water is achieved, with Belu Water proudly being served to guests, helping them to reach this end. Markus’ dedication does not end there, and every August, coinciding with National Dog Day, Kellie tells us that Los Mochis gladly plays host to, “four-legged friends and treats them to a ‘Doggy Menu’ with profits accrued during the month donated to Silver Fox Dog Rescue, a charity dedicated to rehoming abused puppies and dogs in the UK and Eastern Europe.” Finally, Markus annually participates in the CEO Sleepout, a campaign raising money to tackle homelessness and poverty across the UK, whereby business executives are sponsored to sleep outdoors. As one can see, charity is intrinsic to Thesleff Group, and each of its venues are continually seeking out new ways to give back to those in need. This March, Los Mochis is set to expand as Thesleff Group gets ready to open its biggest flagship restaurant at 100 Liverpool Street. The establishment will serve an assortment of rich Mexican and Japanese dishes next to breathtaking city views which will elevate our dining experience as a whole. From a vibrant main dining area with a sushi bar to a scenic rooftop terrace, intimate private dining room, luxurious agaveria bar and lounge, and omakase experience, Los Mochis is set to dazzle every guest. It’s an opportunity not to be missed. Contact Details Contact: Kellie Erm Company: Thesleff Group Web Address: https://www.thesleffgroup.com/
