Suzanne explores how she first came up with the idea when she herself struggled to find the perfect wedding dress. “Over the last eight years of building Cutting Edge Brides as a business, I have identified a number of areas in the bridal industry that were neglected. The first is obvious: there was nobody in the UK specialising in shorter lengths. In fact, 10 years ago when I was myself looking for a wedding gown, there was no option what- so-ever to purchase a shorter style. “After taking down a wall at home to build on my idea and create my first little boutique, I managed to grow my business organically from scratch, and over the years it has continued to flourish. I not only changed my life, but also the lives of thousands of brides I have welcomed through the door who never imagined they would find a short style wedding dress that fitting their own style.” Later, Suzanne adapted the boutique even further to incorporate mature and plus-sized brides, and she is proud of her work in these niche areas, which she is keen to discuss in more detail. “Since my journey began another area identified was wedding gowns for older brides, or lack of them. Mature brides should not have to dress in a two piece because they are past a certain number in their life calendar. Our very carefully handpicked and in house Cutting Edge Brides is a friendly and charming boutique in Bexley Village specialising in providing short, chic wedding gowns that brides can be proud of.
