Today, the firm’s focuses on ice cream and sorbet, taking Chris back to his roots, as he explains. “My journey to founding Fluffy Puffin led me to create a firm specialising in cold desserts. Nine years ago, I worked under Angela Hartnett at Michelin starred Murano on the pastry section, and for the first time really understood what fresh quality cooking was. When starting my own business, I simply combined what I am good at, what I am passionate about and what I have been trained to do. I wanted to deliver a first-class product and service and do so in a really fun, unique and interactive way. “To achieve this, all of our ice cream and sorbet, and all garnishes and toppings are made in house with fresh ingredients, using local and seasonal wherever possible. We develop new and exciting flavours specifically for each event that we attend which keeps things really exciting and enjoyable. These can include specialty dietary requests, free from options and even authentic alcoholic cocktail sorbets. Being unique, interactive, completely tailorable and personable, we instantly found success in the wedding market, and continue to do so.
