Most Dedicated Massage Therapist 2025 (Korea): Gayla Spencer Gayla’s journey has not come without its own set of trials, however. “Moving to South Korea in 2020 turned out to be somewhat of a challenge, due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” she recalled. “My colleagues and I were not able to engage with pilots for several months. However, I kept in contact with Leadership during Condition Delta to get things accomplished prior to meeting the Fighter Squadrons.” Now, Gayla shines as a lead Licensed Massage Therapist offering a range of massage treatments to U.S. Fighter Pilots. She remains in keeping with best practices by responding to emerging industry trends, including deep tissue massage, myofascial release (MFR), trigger point massage, petrissage, and Swedish massage, as well as Kinesio Taping as needed during treatments. Gayla strives to continually improve and stay ahead of the competition by exploring different massage techniques from around the world and nurturing her gift affectionately known as “healing hands”. Alongside her top-tier treatments, Gayla also leverages her vast knowledge to provide expert advice and support to the pilots she serves. She upholds transparency when selecting treatments, sharing with the pilots what is happening within their body and informing them on how she intends to treat the issues. After treatments, Gayla ensures to follow up with her clients the next day and requests that pilots keep her informed as to how they are feeling after their massage. Gayla’s passion for her craft shines through her work, amplified by the support and shared vision of those around her. “I am surrounded by some of the best U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighter Pilots,” she told us. “The Air Forceenlisted personnel help me in many ways to ensure we are on the same page, and by taking care of the needs of our pilots within the squadrons.” The Health Beauty and Wellness Awards are held to highlight and celebrate the exceptional work being done within this dynamic sector.
