www.lux-review.com Page 21 To add to the credibility of my knowledge, I also run a successful fully accredited training centre where I offer training in all of the above treatments plus Anatomy and Physiology, Teacher Training, First Aid, Paediatric First Aid and Business Studies.” Among Diane’s service offering is her award- winning Aromatherapy Massages, which she is keen to discuss in more detail. “To have an Aromatherapy treatment gives a deeply relaxing luxurious massage using pure essential oils blended to your specific needs that can aid well-being and help to alleviate many health problems. Aromatherapy is now used to treat a whole range of conditions and is believed to work on people both physically and psychologically. The first part of the theory is that when you smell an essential oil, it triggers your limbic system, the area of the brain that controls emotions and stores and retrieves learned memories, and relaxes you. The other key aspect of the theory is that the essential oils are absorbed through the skin and have medicinal properties which can act on the cause of the problem.” Alongside her healing work, one of Diane’s key focuses is on pro-bono work to support the disadvantaged in the community. She is eager to emphasise the importance of this side of her work. “At present I am treating a soldier with Post Traumatic Stress and other injuries, free of charge, which is helping him enormously. I would love to do more of this work, as I find it very rewarding and it is not all about money. The other aspect that my company is passionate about is helping the community. I try to arrange charity therapy days where all the proceeds go to the charity. So far, I have raised with the help of all involved of course, over £2,000 for Heart Research, over £1,000 for Alzheimer’s Disease and around two hundred pounds for St Francis Hospice. I also care deeply about animals and offer any local sanctuary my services, again free of charge, and if they wish I put on a day of healing for their animals and the public and any funds raised go fully to the sanctuary.” Moving forward, Diane is keen to further enhance her service offering to better support her clients, as she proudly concludes. “Looking ahead, the future aims of Hands 4 Healing are to have a larger premise to train people at, in all my therapies, with therapists working th enjoying their work and earning a living. I can then specialise in the main services which I offer of reflexology for IVF, which has helped many couples have babies, and other women’s ailments, also do aromatherapy bespoke treatments for individuals in a variety of cases. I will still continue to practice other therapies as clients ask, as sometimes they wish a change and I am fortunate to have had the time to learn and now offer a full range of treatments. “To summarise, I am very passionate about all aspects of my work and enjoy each and every day and have done since I started my business. I find happiness and fulfilment in knowing I am contributing to the health and welfare of the community, and this will remain my ongoing focus as I look towards a bright future for both myself and, most importantly, my clients.” Company: Hands 4 Healing Complementary Therapy and Training Centre Contact: Diane Tyrrell Cert Ed, T.Dip, MGHT,MGBT, IAIM, CThA, MICHT, MAE, VTCT, FHT, IHBC, IHHT Address: South Hornchurch Rainham, Essex, RM13 7AJ, UK Phone: 07792 423502 Web Address: www.hands-4-healing.co.uk
