She has a natural flow for hairdressing and has entered many competitions herself, having achieved Southwest Champion Hairdresser alongside many trophies in Blackpool. She has a Masters in colour, but cutting is definitely her strongest point, pushing the boundaries, taking cuts beyond limits and exceeding client expectations. Her love for avant-garde hairdressing and fashion is definitely her drive when there is a client in her chair. Over the years, Lisa has worked all over the world, from Ireland to Australia, and she is grateful to have been able to take her trade with her on her travels while learning as she travelled the globe. She always said she would only open a salon once she was able to offer one that was 5-star, and she feels that she has certainly achieved this. As the name that she is known by most of her friends and even her children, it only seemed right that the salon took this name… Thus, Chewy’s was born with the support of her partner, Danny Wright. And she can honestly say that they haven’t looked back. The Chewy’s team is very passionate about the industry it is in, so whether it’s the latest colour trend, style or a visit to the beauty room for a lush treatment, and not forgetting the salon’s luxury champagne bar, its aim is to tailor its services to the client to create the ultimate Chewy’s 5-star experience. At the young age of just 32 the owner of Chewys hair and beauty salon was sadly diagnosed with an illness were losing her hair was sadly her inevitable reality. Anyone who has faced such an uncontrollable diagnosis understands our hair is one of our prized possessions and the thought is such a sensitive and emotional journey Lisa had to embark upon. In 2019 Lisa was introduced to the beautiful and bubbly Jay from Adorn by Jay. Experiencing an illness herself which caused hair loss Jay created her business offering the most luxe and bespoke wigs and from there AdornChewy was born. They offer one off custom units. With Jays outstanding knowledge of creating the perfect wigs and Lisa’s years of gorgeous colouring expertise they’ve really created something so unique, special and niche to the industry. Both Experiencing personal hair loss journeys as individuals they our extremely passionate, empathetic and thankful there paths aligned and they can support people experiencing what they once did together. After all they only way to do great work is to love what you do and everyone deserves to feel beautiful and themselves whatever life throws your way. Opening the salon doors again after a year were the salon was more closed then open due to COVID, its made Lisa Appreciate all of her clients and mostly the team she has behind her working tirelessly and in support of her dream and 5 star service which is carried out in every department of the salon. The team and Lisa have gone above and beyond with there COVID precautions to maintain social distancing even offering PPE to all clients.
