Operated by a well-known local family and located between Carrickmacross and Castleblayney on the N2, the Meeting House is now a key part of the Co. Monaghan community, and welcomes both local and visiting guests to sample its exceptional hospitality and delicious produce. Every aspect of the shop and café is designed with the customer in mind. The Meeting House is fortunate to have a friendly and approachable team on hand to provide any assistance that clients may require. The team bake their own scones, bread, confectionery and desserts on the premises each day and support as many local suppliers as possible so that the selection of treats available is always fresh and delicious. Guests are greeted, often by name in the case of locals, on entry and are made to feel welcome from the moment they step inside. There is a counter displaying the café’s selection of homemade desserts to the guest’s left, whilst the checkout area is to their right, which ensures someone is always near the entrance to greet guests.
