Produced under the brand name When Chocolate Meets Art, the firm’s treats are all freshly made and produced for holiday celebrations such as Christmas and Easter. Rocco and his team craft their own fillings and chocolates with the aim of offering treats that customers will cherish and remember long after they have been enjoyed. For all aspects of the business Rocco and his team are deeply passionate about using only the finest possible ingredients. Rocco describes how this is essential to ensuring a high-quality product. “When making any product, be it our signature breads, or one of our delicious chocolate treats, at La Bottega Del Pane we firmly believe that quality ingredients make a great outcome. As such, we only buy from the best suppliers, and we research then thoroughly before we commit to purchasing from them. “Every product offered in our delicatessen is of the finest possible quality, and the majority of it is purchased from Italy so we can bring the flavours of the Mediterranean to the heart of the UK. The majority of our flour, with the exception of the organic flour, is also purchased from Italy, so that we can make all of our breads as authentic as possible. The result is delicious, fresh treats that all of our clients can enjoy.” These products are created by skilled staff who are all as passionate about fine Italian cooking as Rocco, as he is proud to showcase. “At La Bottega Del Pane I am very proud to say that the majority of my staff have been working with me for 12 years or more. I trained them all myself, and have worked with them to stoke their passion for Italian delicacies and show them the techniques that will allow them to create the best breads and tasty treats on the market. We all enjoy finding new recipes, suppliers and ingredients and infusing them to create revolutionary products that will delight and inspire our customers, both regular and new.” This passion for creating new and unique recipes will propel La Bottega Del Pane to even greater success over the years to come, as Rocco is proud to conclude. “Ultimately, the future looks bright for La Bottega Del Pane as we continue to produce the same exceptional quality breads and Italian speciality products, whilst also working to adapt our recipes to create new and exciting treats to tempt even more diners. Italian cuisine is a broad subject and there are many unexplored flavours, textures and cultures that we have not even begun to investigate. As such, we are looking forward to incorporating them into our product offering over the many years we have in front of us as we work to build upon the success we have worked hard to achieve for nearly twenty years.” Around nine years ago the bakery decided to branch out, and began to offer delicious Panettone, a traditional sweet Italian cake popular at Christmas. It has become another firm favourite among La Bottega Del Pane’s corporate clients and walk-in customers, as Rocco explains. “As key players in the UK’s Italian food market, La Bottega Del Pane is constantly searching for new ways to bring this delicious cuisine to new clients. As part of this focus, almost ten years ago we decided to start baking fresh Panettone, and since then it has been a big hit. We now offer a range of these soft and delicate cakes, and we even began to innovate, offering a range of flavours such as fig, chocolate and rum Panettone, classic with almond glaze, as well as pistachio Panettone. Last year the firm undertook a collaboration with Theo Randell and Gin Mare producingthe ‘Ginettone’, which was sold as a limited edition treat.” Every year La Bottega Del Pane does research and introduces a new product into its range. Thanks to Rocco’s brother-in-law, the firm introduced a flat bread from riviera romagnola which is called Piadina. The bakery was again the leader of introducing this delicious treat to UK diners.
