Originally known as the Blue Anchor and relaunched as the Oyster Pearl in 2012, the establishment is one of the oldest Public Houses in the South East, having stood a stone’s throw from the sea since 1756. A great deal has changed since then, but the focus on freshly caught seafood and delicious, locally sourced produce remains just as important today as it did then. Similar to many businesses in and out of the hospitality sector, the impacts of Covid-19 have been substantial for the Oyster Pearl, but the restaurant has been resilient and adaptable so as to continue operating and serving their loyal clientele. For now, the Oyster Pearl is running a reduced takeaway menu, but the whole team is eagerly awaiting the summer months when they will be able to welcome local and seasonal guests back to their restaurant.
