Reethi Faru believes in using as many locally sourced and created materials such as bricks made from recycled soil and bio consciously treated sustainable teak from Indonesia and lacquer work and ceramics from the region. Currently, the resort is run by previous owners of the renowned Reethi Beach resort in Baa Atoll since 2000, who have been recognised for our pioneering work and initiatives in conservation. As founding members of the BAP, set up for the islands to join forces to become one louder united voice, they were integral in Baa Atoll being declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The development of Reethi Faru has had conservation at its heart from the moment they took ownership and began construction in 2017, instigating eco policies as a matter of course.
