All of the hotel’s rooms are newly renovated with handmade furniture and art. Peter and his team have built a large kitchen in the ground floor, where they offer delicious meals that will satisfy any gourmet. Peter discusses how he came to acquire the hotel and how he, in partnership with his wife, draws on their vast collective experience to offer guests an unforgettable experience that will stay with them for many years to come. “Myself and my wife have acquired this little wonderful hotel, which we see as a paradise, from the former owners, the Gormans. We have a solid experience from the hospitality branch. Until last year we owned and operated one of Stockholm’s largest and most award-winning restaurant groups, consisting of 14 restaurants. In 2016 we decided - after 35 years – to sell everything. We were looking for a life style change. During all our years of operation we have a long experience with the Italian countryside. We have both produced wine and olive oil for our restaurants, and we are constantly working on enhancing our hotel so that we can offer our guests a truly unique experience.” Thanks to his vast industry experience, Peter has a strong knowledge of the hospitality market and how his hotel fits into this, as he highlights. “Personally, I see our guests as travellers, not classic tourists. Over recent years we have noticed guests becoming more aware of what they want, and we aim to provide this for them. Art, culture, history, gastronomy and opera join them with us. To ensure comfort Casa San Ruffino is truly an exquisite gem nestled into the stunning Italian countryside, creating harmony with nature in its beautiful architecture and offering guests a true taste of famed European hospitality.
