LUXLIFE MAGAZINE | 23 New Year 2019 During the initial meeting, the clients are not charged, as Jennifer sees this time as an opportunity for both herself and the potential clients to get to know one another, discuss the project and have a look at the space which they want renovating. Jennifer continues by informing us of the approach the firm uses to ensure that clients receive the best possible outcome. “In the initial meetings, I want to make certain that the client is comfortable with me before we move forward. I always ask for any information the client can give me that will help facilitate the design. Occasionally, I meet with a client who has no idea what they want, however by sending me digital pictures or magazine clippings of things they like or don’t like, the job gets easier. Also, I make sure that I am available throughout the process and available for questions or advice along the way. “My aim is to have my client thrilled with the end product, to feel like their home is a space where they want to return to, spend time in, and is their ‘nest’. Being a good listener is very important to making this happen.” Looking ahead to what the future holds for the firm, Jennifer signs off by envisioning her aspirations for the design company, especially following their recent success in LUXlife’s Leading Designers 2018 awards where they were titled Most Innovative Interior Designer – Washington. “Moving forward, I hope to continue to bring joy and happiness to my clients. Also, to continue to be creative, to never stop learning and to always be curious.
