Founder and director, Daisy Mitchell is eager to reveal how it feels to win the prestigious ‘2017’s Best for Luxury Ski Trips & Chalets in the UK’ award and the vital role of their team. “We’re over the moon to have been selected for 2017’s Best for Luxury Ski Trips & Chalets, and this prestigious title will ensure our new guests that they’re in for a great holiday. “With a background in catering and chalets, we’re serious foodies and the attention to providing a gourmet experience is what sets us apart from the crowd. We’re lucky in that St Martin is renowned for its restaurants and, in fact, the resort was recently awarded ‘Gastronomic Resort of the Year’. “Our team is vital in providing the personal level of customer experience that our guests look forward to. We pick our team extremely carefully and generally attract mature seasonnaires who are looking for an opportunity to work for a season, but with the aim of gaining some career experience, not just having fun!” The company’s talented chefs have fine dining and rosette experience, as well as a creative streak that is fuelled by the opportunity to show off every evening, as Daisy highlights. “Our fabulous hosts must exude professionalism, but not stuffiness. They take care to ensure that they know how everyone likes their gin and tonic or cup of morning tea. Little touches like this are so important, and they really make the difference between a good holiday and an excellent one. We spend a long period of time training to ensure that our team are extremely well-equipped to look after our guests. In closing, Daisy shares her thoughts on the company’s prospects for the future. “We’ve built our chalet programme slowly and carefully so far, taking care to choose the right properties to add to our programme. We’re always on the lookout for new opportunities to develop our chalet range, but the customer always comes first and as such, any new additions must tick all the Ski Talini boxes. Likewise, if we found another suitable ski resort with an authentic mountain village feel and linked to an incredible ski area, then expanding further afield could certainly be something that would attract our type of guest.” Ski Talini is a boutique catered chalet company, based in the picturesque ski resort of St Martin de Belleville in the iconic Three Valleys.
