At that time, both my brother and I were looking for a change in our professional lives. After becoming parents, we tried to put in eKoala our personal business ideas, combining a strong love for nature with a special attention to the world of children. “Through eKoala we choose to make informed and eco-friendly choices and develop sustainable products made from nontoxic and 100% biodegradable raw materials. We believe it is high time to start building a world for our children that truly is a Wonderland. Imagine that the bottle of water on your desk, the toy in your children hand, the spoon you are using for their first meal or the packaging of your dinner would be made of natural instead of toxic raw materials. Imagine that objects we usually use only for a minute but remain in our environment for thousands of years, could disappear and biodegrades in a little time. That is the magic of bioplastic, the material which we craft into unique toys and products for our clients.” Over the years, the firm has flourished, and it has now achieved incredible success, as Beatrice comments. “Today, driven by the desire to build a sustainable model, both for the environment and for children’s health, and pushed by the awareness of the real feasibility of this change, we work every day to design innovative products that could be a valid alternative to traditional plastic. We introduce products in the market only two years ago nevertheless we now supply to more than 200 shops in Italy and we have distributors in Switzerland, Belgium, Holland and Luxemburg, Poland, Dubai and Oman. “To ensure that we are always providing unique solutions that meet our clients’ needs, we love to research and experiment. At eKoala we are always in search of new eco-friendly raw material. Research and development is a key focus for our firm, so at a product level we try to provide the best possible solutions for our clients and for our planet.” As she looks to the future, Beatrice is excited for eKoala’s ongoing enhancement as the firm seeks to grow its product offering and adapt its solutions so that it remains as child and environmentally friendly as possible. “Looking ahead, we are continuing research and develop new products and testing new materials to ensure that we are ahead of emerging developments in the industry and able to provide our clients with truly cutting- edge solutions.” Company: eKoala Srl Contact: Beatrice Radaelli Address: Via XXV Aprile 20, Zona Industriale Sudovest, 20884 Sulbiate, Italy.
