At Phoenix Rehoming, every dog receives the highest possible standard of care while the team searches for their long-term home. The charity is a foster based rescue, meaning that all dogs live in homes rather than kennels. Phoenix Rehoming has become highly successful thanks to the outstanding support of its exceptional foster carers who take rescue dogs into their own homes. By choosing to foster a dog or puppy through Phoenix, individuals are making a commitment to helping a dog until they are officially adopted either by themselves or another loving family. The Phoenix team possesses the knowledge and expertise to help foster carers work through any issues they might encounter to ensure that dogs feel settled and happy in their home. “Any dog, from anywhere, for any reason.” Before dogs can be found a permanent home, they undergo a thorough assessment to evaluate their behaviour and individual needs. Every Phoenix dog is vet checked, microchipped, and vaccinated to ensure they are in the best possible health. The Phoenix team understands that every dog is an individual that requires time, patience, and love to thrive in their new home. Carla-Marie Moore, founder and Trustee at Phoenix Rehoming, says, “We are a team made entirely of volunteers who strive to change dogs’ lives. Our mission is to rescue dogs.
