Pet Products & Services Awards 2026

Pet Products and Services Awards 2026 | 7 Miami Animal Rescue also makes efforts to host creative adoption events in unexpected spaces, such as restaurants, hotels, and community venues. Rather than waiting for adopters, these events put rescue animals directly into people’s everyday lives and allows the organization to introduce a completely new audience to the world of animal rescue. The organization’s strong social media presence is also a key driver behind boosting adoption rates. Miami Animal Rescue reaches millions of viewers each month across its social media sites, enjoying a heightened visibility that helps animals find homes faster whilst also educating the public about the importance of responsible pet ownership. “One way we stay ahead is by treating rescue like storytelling,” Meg explained. “Our team creates playful and highly-shareable content on social media – from funny TikTok videos to themed photoshoots with animals – which helps people connect emotionally with pets they might never have noticed otherwise. Animal rescue used to exist mostly behind the scenes, but we believe it should be visible, engaging, and accessible to everyone.” Miami Animal Rescue is driven by a team culture centred on passion, resilience, and an extraordinary level of dedication. Many of its team members balance full-time careers and personal responsibilities. That being said, each member of the team devotes countless hours to helping animals in need; it is not unusual for someone to spend the night trapping and feeding a colony of cats, sleep only for a few hours, and head straight to their regular job the next morning. The team also works alongside veterinary students and local schools to provide the next generation of learners with essential, hands-on experience in animal welfare. Ultimately, Miami Animal Rescue aims to share any necessary tools, knowledge, and resources that will aid its mission to modernise animal welfare operations whilst raising the standards for rescue work across the country. This is a mission further evident in Miami Animal Rescue’s efforts to help other rescue organizations to implement One Click Rescue. The platform is available free of charge to rescue organizations across the U.S., and the Miami team is always striving to aid other groups in integrating the software to streamline their operations and improve their rescue operations. Looking to the future, Miami Animal Rescue is seeking to expand its mission beyond the United States, as its team believes that compassion and animal welfare are never truly limited by borders. Each year, the Miami team travels to areas urgently needing help and volunteers its time to support animals living on the street: feeding the hungry, rescuing the injured, and helping those that have been abandoned or abused. This mission was completed in Puerto Rico last year, though this year the team will focus on the Dominican Republic due to its close proximity to Florida and the urgent need for support. At the same time, the Miami Animal Rescue team will continue working towards a long-term dream: securing a permanent facility within the Homestead or Redlands area of Miami. The organization is currently seeking a buyer for its unique, off-grid, ten-acre ranch in Colorado, the sale of which will allow Miami Animal Rescue to invest entirely in building a permanent rescue facility to better serve animals and its wider community. The acquisition of this new facility will be yet another significant stride forward in Miami Animal Rescue’s ultimate aim of reshaping the world of animal rescue through trust, transparency, and a genuine passion for animal care. The organization has been instrumental in propelling the sector forward, leveraging a comprehensive range of unique approaches, close collaborations, and innovative software to improve practices, drive engagement, and provide animals with the stability they deserve. For its unrivalled contributions to the field, Miami Animal Rescue has been named Miami’s Best Animal Rescue and Adoption Services 2026. As Miami Animal Rescue continues on its forward momentum, driven by this considerable achievement, Meg shared: “Ultimately, our goal is simple but ambitious: not only to rescue animals, but to change the way people think about animal welfare by building a compassionate and responsible community around rescue.” “Giving a rescued animal a second chance is one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences a person can have.” Contact: Meg Sahdala Company: Miami Animal Rescue Web Address: www.miamianimalrescue.org
