To begin, Huw provides a brief overview of the company and offers greater insight into the type of guests who frequent the Parks. “Based in South West Wales, we offer outstanding venues with swimming pools, hot tubs, restaurants and range of beauty services. With each holiday park offering its own unique ambience, guestss can experience stays of exploration and relaxation. From woodland retreats at Noble Court and Croft Country Park to the UK’s most outstanding sea vista at Meadow House Holiday Park, our holiday parks are the epitome of indulgence and attract visitors from all over the UK and international destinations.” The ambience of an accommodation can typically be one of the features which guests look at when choosing somewhere to stay. Moreover, with the company operating in such a competitive industry like hospitality, this is one of the factors which has led to guests choosing Celtic Holiday Parks over others nearby as Huw explains further. “Many of our resorts have an ambience which isn’t usually experienced in other holiday parks. With products ranging from luxury lodges to glamping pods and amazing safari tents, our natural environment enhances wellbeing and relaxation. Additionally, our excellence in customer service, from the initial website enquiry or telephone call through to every customer touchpoint across the business, has enabled us to distinguish ourselves from the rest. Going the extra mile isn’t necessary, our extra mile is inclusively the norm.” As a family-owned business celebrating its 22nd birthday this year, Celtic Holiday Parks Home to the UK’s only coastal National Park, Celtic Holiday Parks offers three outstanding holiday resorts within Pembrokeshire. Following the company’s well-deserved success in the Resorts & Retreats Awards 2020, we got in touch with Huw Pendleton, MD of Celtic Holiday Parks to find out more. Celtic Holiday Parks Best Luxury Self-Catering Accommodation Provider - South Wales has grown from one holiday park and six staff members to now boasting four brands in total and 48 staff members. Despite the company’s growth, the family spirit has never disappeared as Huw explains further. “The culture in place here is an inclusive one where staff feel like part of the family. Naturally, we always look for a “can do” attitude, where staff identify what needs to be done to ensure the customer experience outstanding service. An average day includes fulfilling individual roles, but at the same time if a piece of litter needs collecting, bins emptying, or accommodation cleaned everyone without exception in the business will make sure it happens.” The outbreak of COVID-19 caused major disruption to the hospitality industry earlier this year, however through its ability to adapt to the new normal, the company has still been able to prosper during recent times as Huw points out. “COVID-19 has impacted the business, however 21 years of multi-million-pound investment has helped Celtic Holiday Parks to have a product which people will travel great distances to experience. People are enjoying the staycation experience but are looking for high quality accommodation to accompany it, so the demand for our product has remained high despite the lockdown periods. Clearly our hygiene protocols always excel, but our Safe Stays policy implementation has further enhanced Covid related operations. Customers have certainly been appreciative of the adaptive processes we have taken.” Finally, Huw comments on some of the Company’s future plans as we look ahead to 2021 and beyond. “Celtic Holiday Parks continue to invest in product development. Another restaurant in the shape of “Charlie’s Celtic Tavern” comes live in the Spring, providing high quality food within a very quirky ambience which we hope will drive repeat visitors. Currently, we are in the process of developing 60 new holiday homes and rental pitches for lodge sales across the group. Within beauty and wellbeing, we look forward to launching another venue in the “Celtic Wellbeing” brand later in the year. Going forward, we will be looking to develop Celtic Escapes with an exciting Tree House scheme. With Celtic Holiday Parks it’s always a case of watch this space!” Company: Celtic Holiday Parks Contact: Huw Pendleton Web Address: www.celticholidayparks.com
