Although neither of them had owned a restaurant before, they were both extremely passionate about cooking and dreamed of bringing the flavours of Vietnam to their country of residence: Canada. Usefully, Hung Ton is a Licensed National Food Safety Instructor and has a background in housing inspection under the Ministry of Health, meaning he was well-equipped to ensure Pho 90 met the government’s food and building safety standards. Since then, Pho 90 has become a highly respected establishment, providing a cosy and relaxed place for families and couples to enjoy high-quality dishes crafted by an expert team of chefs. The restaurant’s extensive menu features pho, vermicelli, broken rice, baguettes, appetisers, desserts, speciality dishes, and more. In the kitchen, the restaurant employs three separate teams, each specialising in creating dishes from different regions of Vietnam: north, south, and central. Making dishes from the south, Sang Nguyen has roots in the Saigon and Cho Lon Area, the birthplace of broken rice dishes, Sate Beef Noodles, and south style Pho. Hung Ton, a member of the Vietnamese Royal Family, contributes by making dishes from the central region such as Bun Bo Hue, Hue Hot Sauce, and Com Am Phu.
