Owner Scott is a familiar face from front of house in Edinburgh restaurants. He’s worked at Mark Greenaway and The Atelier amongst other places. Since inception Scott has always aimed to provide the best customer service and high standards which have been positively noted on social media review sites as well as repeat custom. This is Scott’s first business ownership and he has covering practically all aspects, from having done most of the refit himself, to freshly making the soups, rolls, paninis and specials each day. As such, he is able to ensure true quality throughout the shop. Scott is immediately present when opening the door to give a warm welcome. Everything is open plan so every guest can see everything being prepared right in front of them using the freshest produce. As a small independent business Dine Thyme serves the local community as well as the many visitors within the area and has a real community spirit associated with it. As such, everyone is given a warm welcome and made to feel right at home if just for a coffee or a full breakfast or lunch. Customers can even come in and have a chat, put the world to rights and share their experiences or problems. Dine Thyme always aims to serve the best produce and proudly uses local suppliers to support the community, so everyone feels at home when they visit. Ultimately, the café industry is a very tough one. With constant rising costs Dine Thyme is always looking at ways to reduce unnecessary costs without having to increase prices to the customer.
