New owner James Kelland is passionate about client service and proud to host a range of local and visiting guests to his beautiful establishment. Dog and family friendly, the pub is the perfect space for a quiet get together, a catch-up with friends, a fantastic atmosphere on a busy weekend with themed nights or a quick stopover after a long walk across the surround fields in Ashford and The Pilgrims Way As a free house the Wheel Inn is able to offer a wide variety of drinks at competitive prices, including a happy hour every Friday evening. Ranging from local ales to big label products, the pub’s extensive drinks menu also includes local wines as well as common grape varieties. There is also delicious Kentish coffee on offer to ensure there is something for everyone. The same is true of the eatery’s food menu, which boasts a selection of pub classics given a modern twist. There is a children’s menu and a selection of options to choose from so that the eatery can cater to any tastes. Dishes have been given an unusual flourish, for example the Home-made Suet Pastry Pies and Chorizo and Sausage Meat Scotch Egg served with a paprika mayonnaise. The menus also changes monthly to let the Chefs exert their creative skills. Under James’ ownership the Wheel Inn has flourished and going forward the pub will continue to strive towards excellence, welcoming every guest with open arms.
