Prior to BCC hosting the PGA in 1953, Robert Trent Jones worked on it, and noted course architects Bruce and Jerry Matthews worked on it again in 1963. The original clubhouse was a white farmhouse on Northlawn across from the 18th fairway that today is a private residence. The current Tudor clubhouse opened on March 30, 1930 and today it offers a variety of venues for regular dining as well as social engagements. The clubhouse underwent significant renovations in the spring of 2016 as part of a $5 million facilities improvement project. In 2016, the club proudly celebrated its 100- year anniversary. Appropriately coinciding with the completion of its $8 million renovation, it was a year dedicated to not only honoring the past but also about preparing for the future. The team at BCC are serious about their responsibility to preserve our legacy of excellence, service, and community as it relates to the club’s great golf course, clubhouse, facilities, and membership. Today, thanks to its committed team and focus on excellence, the club is in a position of unparalleled strength and beauty. Looking ahead, it is BBC’s mission to make it a continuing source of pleasure and pride for generations to come. As part of this, recently the club’s membership recently approved a $3 million improvement plan to continue BCC’s Club Enhancement project. Beginning in later this month will be three year, five phase project that will provide benefits for each and every BCC member. The renovation and improvement project will tackle the club’s on-course bridges, ladies locker room, tennis house, turf care center, golf range, pool and fitness area, north lawn and pavilion, and the addition of range teaching bays. This development will help the club to further enhance its already impressive success.
