117 Born out of a vision to unearth and reinvigorate Camden Lock’s former gin glory, HALF HITCH comprises a unique choice of botanicals and in- novative production technique creates a gin that stands alone in appearance and taste. With its distinctive and intriguing combination of botanicals – black tea, ber- gamot, wood, hay and pepper – each chosen to reference Camden’s rich history of trade and to reignite London’s historic heart of gin distilling, HALF HITCH is an award-winning gin that stands alone in its appearance and taste. Each ingredient is carefully selected from around the world for the finest quality at the peak of seasonality. Of note is the finest single estate Malawian black tea, hand-blended with Calabrian bergamot, to create one of Britain’s most iconic tea flavours - Earl Grey. Unconstrained by tradition and unlike other gins, HALF HITCH uses a combination of three individual, time-intensive, production processes rather than just a single distillation. Each is chosen to extract the most prized and bold flavours of each of its key botanicals. – This is a gin to be savoured neat or on the rocks. Traditional copper pot distillation is employed for the classic botanicals; modern vacuum-distillation for the hay which preserves its flavour as a result of a lower boiling-point; lastly, some of the more delicate botanicals such as the black tea are tinctured by hand – a medicinal tradition which allows extracts to be gained from complex ingredients. Known as ‘The G With Tea®’, this uniquely flavoured gin is perfect with sip- ping alone or drinking in a tall glass with ice, quality tonic water and a slice of lemon. For the more adventurous, the spirit is also ideal for cocktails, including the Twisted Martini - HALF HITCH Gin on the rocks with a twist of orange to enhance the light citrus notes of bergamot.
