67 Dec18399 A Catering FirmThat Always Exceeds Expectations Based out of Central Missouri, Sweet Chipotle Catering has built an enviable reputation on the back of their ability to not only cater to wedding receptions, corporate events and intimate gatherings, but also to a wide variety of budgets. Yet, regardless of the size of the event, Sweet Chipotle Catering aims to exceed even the most discerning of expectations. On the back of the firm’s success in LUXlife Magazine’s 2019 Leaders in Luxury programme, we spoke with Executive Chef Patrick Miller to find out more. With more than twenty years’ experience in the food and hospitality industries, Patrick Miller understands the intricacies of the catering sphere, and what it takes to succeed where others so often fail. Whilst service with a smile goes a long way in forging a reputation for excellence, at the end of the day it is the quality of the food that makes or breaks a company – and when it comes to food, Sweet Chipotle Catering looks to impress, as Patrick takes a moment to emphasise. “Sweet Chipotle Catering offers a vast selection of gourmet cuisine, signature menus and a World Championship BBQ. Though we cater to a large variety of events, we specialise in wedding receptions, banquets, business meetings and fundraising events.” Before Sweet Chipotle’s establishment, Patrick realised that there was a niche in the market for high quality of food and culinary expertise. “While in school, I was a member of the culinary team and competed at the highest level of collegiate competitions, eventually training at Johnson County Community College. I live in the Kansas City area for several years working as a corporate executive chef, allowing me to immerse myself in the business. About thirteen years ago I moved back to the Jefferson City area and opened my own catering businesses, with the idea to bring great food to the Central Missouri area.” Late last year, Sweet Chipotle opened an event center that features two rooms; one, with the ability to cater to a small crowd of around forty, while the other boasts enough room to seat up to 400. The center is housed in a 100-year-old building with a restored 16-foot ceiling, original hardwood floors, eight-foot storefront windows, a custom bar, custom lighting and exposed brick walls. Ultimately, this center offers Sweet Chipotle the opportunity to expand even further, driving their growth over the upcoming year. “Over the last few years we have noticed that clients tend to prefer a one-stop-shop for planning their event. If they can do all rentals for the meal in one place, then that is their preference. To meet this need we have started to offer items such as napkins and linens to supplement our catering services. We are also keen to use our new event center to further support our clients over the years ahead.
