86 The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa A Landmark Guest Experience As the only landmark in the world that you can stay in as a guest, the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa is so much more than a hotel, this truly spectacular space will offer every visitor an experience they will never forget. LUXlife had the privilege of visiting this incredible establishment and learning more about its rich history and the luxury it offers today. Upon arrival at the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa, which boasts a magnificent, panoramic façade and is set in a rolling estate of lush vegetation, LUXlife was warmly greeted by General Manager Jonathan Stapleton. With more than 40 years’ experience in the hotel industry Jonathan understands the importance of quality and friendly hospitality. He was very proud to show us around the establishment and delve into its varied history and how it has flourished into one of the greatest examples of Georgian architecture in the UK today. This five-red-star establishment has evolved greatly over the years from a former private residence and destination to become a five-red-star hotel with an award-winning spa and decedent dining options. Following the tour, we were taken to view our home for the night, the Duke of York Suite, one of the most luxurious suites in the hotel which has a glorious view of the magnificent city of Bath. The Royal Crescent Hotel’s hospitality team make sure that guests want for nothing, and as such they leave fresh fruit and a box of Royal Crescent Hotel branded chocolates for them to tuck into whilst they enjoy the sumptuous décor and relaxing ambiance of their room. Conveniently located beside the historically significant Bath, the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa is the perfect hotel for anyone looking to spend time exploring this exquisite Roman city. Among the attractions are the Roman Baths, which are expertly preserved and combine history with exquisite beauty. After a long day discovering the delights of Bath, LUXlife can thoroughly recommend a visit to the hotels pool in the Spa & Bath House, which has exquisite church-style windows and doors, giving a tranquil atmosphere to this luxurious environment. Guests can dive into the vast swimming pool, push themselves in the fully-equipped gym or indulge in a treatment in the spa. LUXlife experienced the luscious Proto-Col Facial, a bespoke treatment designed to restore the depleted collagen and rejuvenate the skin, and can thoroughly recommend the Retreat Exclusive
