Spring 2019
LUXLIFE MAGAZINE | 87 Spring 2019 spa’s team, who are committed to providing every guest with the highest possible standard of service and decedent treatments that will sooth and relax them. A visit to the hotel’s Dower House restaurant is the perfect way to round-off a decadent day spent pampering and relaxing. Head Chef David Campbell and his expert team use fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create sumptuous dishes. Each dish on the Tasting Menu which LUXlife partook in features a number of components themed around a central ingredient, such as the locally sourced venison dish, which features smoked potato, a haggis croquet, delicately spiced pear and luscious chard. There is also a honey panna cotta served with a poached pear, refreshing blackberry sorbet and candied walnuts. Such a resplendent feast is perfectly befitting this glorious setting, which looks truly sumptuous in the evening light. Returning to the Duke of York Suite LUXlife was able to take in the splendour of the illuminated silhouette of Bath set against a vast estate bathed in natural beauty. As we returned to the real world following our trip in the ethereal world of this Georgian paradise LUXlife reflected that the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa is the ideal escape for those looking to indulge in the ultimate in luxury in the heart of the South West.
