From the very beginning, the Conversas de Alpendre’s team have wanted to keep evolving. When José and his family first started the business, none of them had any experience in the hospitality industry. Whilst the family are humble to recognize their mistakes, they know that with experience and the feedback from guests they will look at concepts in a new light. For example, the small hotel had a hidden secret – it was surrounded by hundred year old trees. This secret led to the opening of the Conversas de Alpendre’s Treehouse. The striking Treehouse was born from the concept of creating something new, whilst ensuring that nature is relevant and lives in the imagination of many of their clients. Based on the same roots, the next project in Conversas de Alpendre’s pipeline is The Cabin. Having noticed the tranquillity and beauty of cabins located near the lakes, the team decided to build their own cabin only using wood and respecting the nature, whilst providing the comfort and pleasure of something unique. As for what the future holds for the firm, Conversas de Alpendre are opening a new boutique hotel in Tavira. Located in an old palace from the XVIII century, the team will rebuild the property to create an interesting concept which combines history and comfort. Currently, this renovated hotel is scheduled to open in the 2nd quarter of 2020, and will be called ‘Bela Palace’.
