Summer 2018
26 year; I took the project on and an unexpected snow storm came on the first day. We had planned the photographer, key handover and ‘design tours’ to the press and industry professionals. As it was my first project and I am very goal-focused, I was determined to not quit. As it was a snow storm, no contractors could legally drive or come on site. Every day was a waiting game to see if people could arrive, so every day I had to prepare for the worst.” “As I was determined to finish, I had to make 23 deliveries myself and work through the night on the last day with interns to reach the deadlines. It was a high-stress environment yet, I stayed calm and got it done. I tend to be extremely organised and I will always deliver yet, that was a learning experience nonetheless.” “This project reminds me that ‘life happens’ and you have to adapt but, also be realistic. People are flexible and once you communicate delays, stay positive and hard-working, it will always get done in the end. Excellence takes time and details matter.” The project in question was a celebration in mid-century style with a modern, elegant twist. It is archetypal for much of Natasha’s work – an expected signature, with a bombastic flourish. This is, of course, employed with the aim of emphasising a property’s unique selling points. In this Natasha is, above all else, an expert in the ‘wow factor’. Her refined touch is perfect for creating a space that is sleek, and inviting. Her grasp of design, and her mastery over style led to Natasha being recognised in LUXlife’s Leading Designer programme, as the Most Outstanding Interior Design Specialist. This award has long recognised accomplished designers from all backgrounds, working in all styles and fields, all over the world. For Natasha it provides affirmation that she is doing the right thing, whilst encouraging new clients to trust in her abilities, “As I have formally launched ‘The Interiors NRD Studio’ earlier this year, it provides a respect and trust for the brand, which encourages new clients, agents and businesses to move forward with my projects. Furthermore, it allows existing clients further trust in their choices to work with my studio in the future.” I feel honoured, privileged and excited for this and for the future.Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity and congratulations to all the other award-winners. When it comes to the future of The Interiors NRD, Natasha is eager to move into new markets, specifically, media and commercial design, “The next twelve months are a very exciting time, as there are various roads and markets opening up to my business. I believe my market will move into media, commercial design and into the London market. Also, I would like to partner with brands and companies - such as furniture brands.” Natasha continues, “For projects specifically, my goal is to continue in residential design, mostly in ‘staging-to-sell’ which I have been working on. Throughout this period inevitably as the market opens up and projects grow, I will expand my company yet, will always strive to retain a bespoke one-on-one style studio. Similarly, to consulting in London, it will happen over time.”
