Summer 2018
LUXLIFE MAGAZINE | 45 Summer 2018 “Across the venue, we encourage everyone that works at the Chateau to extend familial warmth to all of our guests. Additionally, we cultivate a friendship between our work family at our employee breakfast and relaxation time each morning. Having a strongly connected team that cares about each other is very important for us, so that we can function well in serving each other to best serve our guests. “Ensuring that our guests enjoy their stay, when we first interact with a guest, we attempt to let them know that is our desire to be of assistance in any way possible. When we have a reservation made for a guest, we send out an activity guide, recommended restaurants, and also information about interesting things to do in the area.” With the region of Arizona attracting a variety of guests from all around the world, Jean and the team at the Chateau strive to make the establishment unique in a variety of ways, including a distinct level of privacy which is not always afforded to clients in the hospitality sector. “As a property built off the main road in Sedona, the establishment offers exceptional views that are amongst the best in Sedona. The property itself has 25 large, individually decorated suites, each with their own style and character. The suites have an ambiance that is more like that of a luxurious home, rather than a standardised hotel suite. “Also, we have a lush garden with many areas to relax and enjoy the beauty of Sedona. In the garden, there is a stream and pond, salt water pool and Jacuzzi, as well as hammocks, daybeds, loungers, and many places to sit and enjoy the view. As a smaller property, our guests have the opportunity to feel as if they are having the experience of a private getaway, yet get to enjoy the amenities of a larger accommodation.” Another aspect of A Sunset Chateau, is that it has been able to stay away from the trend of charging clients and guests for a variety of activities which they would not usually be charged for. The team has identified that a key aspect of keeping a customer happy is by treating them as you would want to be treated, and Jean explains they therefore do not overcharge guests. “Throughout our region, we have seen a trend towards the introduction of more and more resort fees, parking fees, and other property fees, as well as huge price fluctuations throughout the year. The team has decided against going this route. As such, they have always included a wonderful cooked to order breakfast each morning, free parking, high speed Wi-Fi, and kept prices constant when booking with us throughout the year and will continue to do so into the future. “This is because we feel it is important to treat our guests the way we would want to be treated when we travel ourselves. After my own personal experiences, I felt that it was important to extend certain courtesies, and encourage the staff to transparent, hospitable, and create a place where you feel like you can relax without being monetised at every turn.” Overall, A Sunset Chateau is a truly wonderful experience for guests and visitors from all around the world. As such, both Jean and the team are planning to capitalise on this success by revamping the interior of a few suites, before refurbishing the main building. The future looks very bright for A Sunset Chateau and the team are wasting no time in making the experience for guests even more memorable, as Jean is keen to point out in his concluding comments. “Moving forward, next year we want to create an opulent space that maximises the incredible views we have, creating a space that is better than ever for guests to come to and relax. We are always dreaming of how to make everything better, more beautiful, and how we can create a place that will give our guests the best accommodation of their life.” Company: A Sunset Chateau Contact: Jean Christophe Buillet Address: 665 Sunset Drive, Sedona, Arizona, 86336, USA Phone: 001 928 282 2644 Website: www.asunsetchateau.com
